Introduction

This is my version of pinto beans to serve over rice or re-fry for burritos. This is my version of pinto beans to serve over rice or re-fry for burritos.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Pinto Beans 1.5 cups
    Red Onion, choopeed 1 cup
    Bacon, cut in half, 2 slices
    Bragg organic Sprinkle, 24 herbs and spices, 1 tsp.
    Canola oil, 1 tsp

Directions

Rinse beans, place in large pot with 10 cups water. Bring to boil. Boil 5 minutes, reduce to low heat. In small skillet saute onions and Bragg sprinkle in Canola Oil until onion is soft. Cook bacon until crisp, drain oil from bacon. Add cooked onion and 3 halves of bacon to beans continue to cook covered until beans are soft. Use other bacon half as garnish.
