This is a delicous meal I got from a recipe book called cooking for less. My family loves it. This is a delicous meal I got from a recipe book called cooking for less. My family loves it.
Number of Servings: 6


    1 lb ground turkey
    1/2 c chopped onion
    1 can(14oz) diced tomatoes drained
    1 8oz can tomato sauce
    2 Tblsp chili powder
    1 teaspoon salt...optional
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    8 oz uncooked elbow macaroni...can use wheat or whole grain for extra fiber.
    1c shredded cheese optional


1. Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium high heat 6-8 minutes, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat.
2. Place beef mixture, tomatoes, and tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, and black pepper mix well in a bowl.
3. Cook macaroni but not until completely done, mixed half cooked macaroni and beef mixture in crock pot, or baking pan. Cook on low for 4 hours. or once you feel its ready, take out the oven spread cheese on top and place it back in oven for about 10 minutes. Enjoy

This can be cooked in the oven, crock pot or stove. I like the oven or crock pot it helps me to get other things done.
