These are the most delicious waffles you will EVER consume. These are the most delicious waffles you will EVER consume.
Number of Servings: 12


    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 t. salt
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1 egg, beaten slightly
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 T. margarine or butter, softened
    2 T. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 t. vanilla

    2 T. syrup for each waffle is included in nutrition info.


Combine egg, sugar, butter, milk, buttermilk, vanilla, and shortening.
Beat till creamy.
In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, and baking soda.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
Spoon 3/4 c. batter onto greased heated waffle iron.
Cook 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve with warmed syrup :)
