Ingredients

    2 pounds lean ground beef
    2.5 cups red kidney beans - I used dry
    2 cups navy beans - dry
    2 celery stalks
    2 whole green bell peppers
    3 cans crushed tomatoes
    I used 2 tablespoons of crushed habanero peppers but could not find this item in the list so I listed the Jalapeno's instead.

Tips

If using dry beans be sure to soak or they won't have nice texture. Also, if you use canned beans read the lable carefully as most canned beans contain sugar content.


Directions

Soak beans for at least 8 hours to soften. I softened my beans overnight. Cook ground beef, chop fresh veggies and put everything in the slow cooker and enjoy for supper.
