Number of Servings: 16
Ingredients
-
Nonstick spray
1 cup chocolate whey isolate proteinpowder (low carb)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups oats
1/4 cup oat bran
3 Tbps flax seed
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 brown sugar
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1.5 cups greek yogurt - fat free plain
1/2 cup almond butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Tips
Only downside is the mild taste of protein powder: suggested modifications: stevia instead of brown sugar, dark chocolate chips, and extra cinnamon :)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Mix all dry ingredients in one bowl, and all wet ingredients in another.
Combine bowls. May need to use your hands,it is a super doughy consistency
Press mixture into a baking pan (square casserole dish is fine too) - bake for 15, r cut into squares, place the squares apart from each other on a baking sheet and bake for another 15 minutes to crispify.
Only downside is the mild taste of protein powder, but I didn't mind it. This recipe makes 16 bars - and they freeze wonderfully :) Microwaving and eating warm is like dessert. Lemme know any great modifications! You can vary bar size as well, I can show you guys the nutritional info calculator I use - I'm addicted to it.
