Ingredients

    1 cup water
    half cup uncooked hulled millet
    half cup uncooked pearl barley
    quarter cup sunflower seeds
    30 g slivered almonds
    garlic clove (to taste)
    red onion-half cup
    grated carrots-quarter cup
    firm tofu-three quarter cup-chopped
    grated beets-3tbsp
    tamari-1 and a half tbsp
    spelt flour-2 tbsp
    engevita yeast (inactive) 2tbsp
    cayenne-quarter tsp
    chili powder-quarter tsp
    curry powder-1 tsp
    sea salt-1tsp
    cornstarch-1tsp
    mixed herbs-3tbsp
    3 tbsp hemp hearts
    1 tbsp ground flax
    parsley 2 tbsp

Tips

Very high in protein and fibre. High in nutrients.


Directions

Cook millet and barley in cup of water. Boil, then simmer until water is absorbed. Let cool. Put in large mixing bowl. Grind seeds and add to mixture. Grind garlic, parsley, onion and carrots together. Add to mixture. Grind tofu. Add to mixture. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Form into 6 patties. Grill for about 5 minutes each side.
