    1 lb ground buffalo
    12 oz chopped baby bella mushrooms
    3 - 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes with garlic and onions
    1/2 cup yellow split peas
    1/2 cup red lentils
    1 c alphabet or other small pasta


Brown the buffalo in the bottom of a large soup pain. Chop the baby bella mushrooms and add to buffalo meat once it is almost browned. Add the tomatoes and at least 6 cups of water (I usually just fill up my pain the rest of the way with water. Bring to a slow boil. Add split peas, lentils, and alphabet pasta and cook about 20-30 min or until pasta and lentils are soft.
