Ingredients

    1 package yeast
    1 tbsp sugar
    3 cups warm water
    1 tsp salt
    3 cups whole wheat flour
    3 cups all purpose flour
    Non-stick cooking spray

Tips

Do not preheat oven!
Can be made in mixer using a dough hook.


Directions

Mix sugar into 1 cup water and add yeast. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add remaining water and whole wheat flour. Let stand for 45 minutes. Add remaining flour and knead until smooth (apx 10 minutes). Cover and let dough rise for 1 hour. Divide into 2 loaves and place into 2 greased bread pans. Let rise for another hour. Place in cool oven. Bake at 325 f for 1 hour.

Serving Size: Makes 2 loaves, sliced into 12 pieces.
