    dry breadcrumbs (seasoned)
    firm tofu
    garlic powder
    olive oil
    parmesan or romano cheese
    marinara sauce
    shredded part skim mozzarella


cut tofu into 8 slices length wise
pat the steaks dry
dredge them in breadcrumbs
use 1/2 tablespoon of oil and cook the mushrooms and onions until the juices release. Set aside in a bowl.
Add the remaining oil and fry the tofu steaks for about 3 minutes. Turn them, sprinkle with romano add mushrooms, marinara and mozzarella cheese to each. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

Serving Size: makes 8 tofu steaks
