    1.5 tsp oil
    1 large onion diced
    2 1bs beef sirloin chopped into 3/4" cubes
    1 tbs fresh ginger root minced
    3 cloves garlic minced
    2 tsp cumin
    2 cardamom seeds or 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
    1/4 tsp cloves
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp spanish paprika
    1 cup low fat greek yogurt
    900 ml or 4 cup beef broth
    2 cups water
    2 cups brown rice basmati or ( 1 cup water and 4 c cooked rice)
    2 cups peas
    salt to taste


I made this in the pressure cooker where you need to reduce the amount of spice. For slow cooker or oven increase spice amounts


for pressure cooker saute meat and onion in oil for 7 min add ginger and garlic add spices. add yogurt, broth, water and rice. pressure cook on high for 25 min release pressure add peas wait 5 min adjust seasonings.
for slow cooker saute meat and onion in oil for 7 min add ginger garlic and spices. Transfer to slow cooker add yogurt and 1 cup of water. Cook on low 6-8 hours add cooked rice 1/2 hour before finished cooking. Add peas when finished wait 5 min adjust seasonings
for oven I have never cooked rice in oven so would use cooked rice here too. preheat oven to 250 F saute onion and meat in dutch oven for 7 min add garlic and ginger and spices add yogurt and 1 cup of water stir bring to simmer then transfer to oven for 2-2.5 hours checking water level occasionally. add cooked rice return to oven to bring to temperature. add peas wait 5 min
