    4 Cups old-fashioned rolled oats
    1/2 C wheat germ
    1/2 C oat bran
    1/2 C coarsely chopped walnuts
    1/4 C sesame seeds
    1/4 C honey
    1/4 C water or apple juice
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 C raisins


Other types of nuts, dried fruits or whole grains can be added or substituted to suit individual taste.


Mix oats, wheat germ, oat bran together and walnuts. Mix honey with water and microwave approximately 40 seconds. Pour over oats and toss until mixed. Spread on dry baking sheet or jelly role pan. Bake at 200 degrees for 30 mins. Remove from oven and stir to mix and turn cereal. Return to oven for an additional 25 mins or until lightly toasted. Remove from oven and cool on the pan. When cool, pour into storage container. Add raisins and mix. Store covered.
