1 tbsp Olive Oil
1/4 cup Onions, minced
3 cloves Garlic, minced
2 cups Cooked Black Beans or 1 can, undrained
2 cups Diced Tomatoes or 1 can, undrained
1/8 tsp Cumin Seed
2 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Salt
letting this sit overnight after cooking and then reheating provides much more intensity of flavors. This is a "base recipe" that can be eaten as is or start as the base of most other chili recipes. You can add meats and other chilies to meet your needs and desires.
It is very good served over baked sweet potatoes with a touch of sour cream or shredded cheddar.
