    1 cup almond milk
    1 cup quick cooking steel cut oats
    2 apples
    1/2 tsp cinammon
    4 1/2 tsp maple syrup
    1/3 cup chopped pecans


in a medium saucepan combine almond milk and 1 cup water and the oats. bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover and let simmer.
while the oatmeal is cooking place apples cinnamon and 1/2 tsp maple syrup and 1 tbsp water cook over medium heat until apples are softened and the liquid has reduced to a syrupy consistency 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the pecans
Stir in apples and oats and drizzle 1 tsp maples syrup over each bowl makes 4 bowls
