Number of Servings: 3


    1 cup finely chopped onion
    1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
    1/2 cup finely chopped red pepper
    1 tbsp sesame oil, divided
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/2 cup water
    3 tbsp rice vinegar
    2-3 cloves of garlic (I used 2.5 tsp garlic powder)
    1 tbsp granulated sugar
    1 tbsp honey
    dash of red pepper flakes
    2 tsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp water
    1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds


1. Dry scallops and sear for a few minutes in 1 tsp sesame oil. Set aside.
2. Saute onion and pepper in 1 sesame oil until soft. Add soy sauce, water, vinegar, garlic, honey, sugar and red pepper flakes and heat.
3. Make a paste with cornstarch and enough water to dissolve. Stir in sauce to thicken. Add remaining tsp of sesame oil.
4. Add scallops and heat through.
5. Garnish with sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
