    500 grams ground lamb
    1 medium onion
    1 clove garlic
    2 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
    1 egg
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Dash cumin


If you prefer, you can combine onion, garlic and mint in a food processor to chop and then add to the lamb mixture.


Place ground lamb in a large bowl. Grate onion and garlic into the bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix all together. Form 6 patties out of lamb mixture and place them under the grill for about 10 minutes per side.

  • More moisture than plain lamb pattie. but taste lost with the bread crumbs - definitely needs more than a dash of cumin. Put onion, garlic and mint leaves in food processor before adding to lamb. Mint taste not perceptible. - 9/22/13
