    4 oz ground turkey
    1 6 oz. can tomato paste
    6 oz. water
    1 24 oz. jar tomato puree
    5-6 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tbsp. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp dried oregano
    Pinch of onion powder
    Pinch of garlic powder
    Handful of fresh basil, chopped
    pepper, to taste


I never measure the spices in this, sometimes I put more oregano and basil and sometimes less. I omitted the salt from this recipe because the canned tomatoes have enough but if you are using fresh tomatoes or low salt you may want to add salt to taste.


Brown turkey in skillet with garlic until no longer pink. Place all ingredients in a crockpot or a heavy bottomed pan and turn on low. The secret is to cook this for a long time so at least 2 hours and more if you want.
