Ingredients

    Meatballs:
    1 lb lean or extra lean ground beef (or other ground meat)
    2/3 cup oats (I use quick oats but any will do)
    1/3 cup evaporated milk (I use skim or fat free)
    1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water whisked together
    1 tsp onion powder
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp chili powder
    1/4 tsp ground black pepper

    Sauce:
    1 cup tomato sauce (any, I use pasta sauce, you can even use ketchup)
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup onion flakes
    1/4 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F.

Combine ground beef, oats, evaporated milk, cornstarch & water slurry, onion powder, salt, chili powder and pepper in a bowl and mix with hands. Shape into balls about 1" diameter. Place on a greased or lined sheet.

In a separate bowl, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, onion flakes and garlic powder with a fork. Pour over meatballs.

Cook 1 hour.

Serving Size: Makes 36 1" diameter meatballs
