Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups wholewheat flour
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup ground almonds
    2 tsp baking powder

    1 large egg
    1 tbsp light olive oil
    1/2 cup semi-skimmed milk
    1 cup low fat natural yogurt
    1/2 cup water

Tips

Add more oil to stop your waffles from sticking to the waffle iron, if this is a problem for you.


Directions

Mix the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.

Add the egg and olive oil and mix in. Add the milk a little at a time, then the yogurt, then the water. You may need more or less water depending on the consistency of the yogurt.

Cook as normal in your waffle maker as per the machines instructions. In my 6" circle waffle maker, it makes
