    1 c. canned milk
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. butter
    1 t. vanilla
    1 1/3 c coconut
    1 c. chopped walnuts


Use 2/3 rds of the recipe for an oblong cake (9x13)


In a large saucepan put sugar and egg yolks. stir well with no heat. Add milk and butter cube. Stir over medium heat until thickened about 15 min. Remove from heat. add coconut, nuts and vanilla. Cool 30 min. Spread between layers and on top of two chocolate cake 9" round layers. Serve 16.
