Number of Servings: 6

    1 lb lean ground beef
    small onion chopped
    2 tsp minced garlic
    1/3 cup flour
    2 tsp ground sage
    2 tsp ground thyme
    1 tsp black pepper
    1/2 cup beef soup base
    2 cups hot water

We serve this over rice but could be used over mashed potatoes. I use beef soup base from the bulk section at Win-co. Can substitute beef bouillon.

Saute onion in skillet. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Add garlic, sage, thyme and pepper; stir. Sprinkle flour over meat and stir. Slowly pour water over meat mixture, stir to blend. Add beef soup base, reduce heat to medium. Cook about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

Serving Size: Makes about 6 services (3/4 cup?)

Number of Servings: 6
