Introduction

Delicious super-spicy stir-fried octopus. Can also be used with squid. Delicious super-spicy stir-fried octopus. Can also be used with squid.

Ingredients

    Octopus, 12 oz after cleaning and head removal
    *gochujang, 2 tbsp
    Gochukaru, 2 tbsp
    Sesame Oil, 1 tbsp
    *Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp
    *Sesame Seeds, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 2 tbsp
    Onions, raw, 1 small sliced
    Scallions, raw, 2 medium (4-1/8" long) sliced
    Carrots, raw, .25 cup, strips or slices
    Jalapeno Peppers, 1 pepper sliced

Directions

Clean the octopus by removing the head and the beak, then cleaning out the head and chopping it into slices. Chop the legs into pieces as well. There are videos on youtube for how to do this.

Stir-fry the vegetables in the sauce over medium-high heat, after they begin to soften toss in the octopus and the green onions and stir-fry it for about one minute. Take it off the heat and serve immediately with a bowl of rice and veggie side dishes [banchan].

You only want to cook the octopus until it is curling up and turning opaque, if you cook it too long it is very difficult to chew.
