Quick Italian Soup

1 large onion, chopped
2 cans beef broth
4 cans chicken broth
1 can diced stewed tomatoes w/garlic &basil
1 can cut green beans, drained
3 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
3 links italian style turkey sausage (mild or hot)
cooked and sliced into bite size pieces
3/4 cup whole wheat or multi grain rotini (dry)
pinch of red chili flakes (optional)
pinch of black pepper
Feel free to add other veggies that you love. Some of my favorites are adding chopped, sauted fennel, or add spinach or arugula right before serving.
Beef broth gives this a more hearty flavor, but you can use all chicken or even veggie broth if you like.
Bring back up to a simmer and add green beans and sausage. Let simmer for at least 15 more minutes before serving to bring all flavors together.
