    2 large chicken breasts
    2 quarts chicken broth
    1 quart water
1 bag (6 servings) whole wheat noodles
    3 large carrots, slilced
    2 cups green beans
    1/2 cup peas
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced onion to taste

Chicken breasts can be precooked for speed, or can be added diced and uncooked to the broth so all the flavor of the breasts is added to the broth. As a compromise I usually cook them halfway before adding them in. Be sure the chicken is fully cooked before any noodles or vegetables are added.

Put broth and water in large pot and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, cook carrots and chicken breasts as desired. Dice chicken and add to broth; simmer until cooked through. Stir in noodles and cook until al dente; stir in carrots, green beans, peas, and seasonings and simmer 5-10 minutes more.
