    1 cup uncooked black rice, cooked according to directions (should make 3 cups)
    14 oz turkey, smoked sausage, sliced 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick
    1 cup diced celery
    1 cup diced onion
    1/4 cup minced garlic
    4 cups reduced sodium chicken broth
    2 cups reduced sodium beef broth


In a large pot, saute the smoked sausage, celery, onion, and garlic together until the vegetables are tender. Add the rice and broth to the pot. Let it simmer for at least 20 minutes, longer if you have the time.

Serving Size: Makes six servings
