Introduction

Homemade Hummus - great for veggie dipping, as sandwich spread or filling . Homemade Hummus - great for veggie dipping, as sandwich spread or filling .
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1- can Chickpeas , Drained and rinsed ( reserve can liquid)
    2-tsp dill weed
    2- Tbsp Tahini paste
    2-Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1-tsp lemon zest ( I like more about 2 -3 tsp)
    4-Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice ( out of bottle will work in a pinch)
    3-4 cloves garlic minced( add more if you love garlic, its a personal preference.)

Tips

Hummus is very versatile. Add or subtract things you like or don't like about . Add artichokes or spices to change it up . But as always changing what you put in it changes the Nutritional info .


Directions

combine all ingredients in food processor and pulse until a paste is formed.
May need to add more liquid depending on how you like your hummus. Would add just a Tbsp at time and pulse again until you get the texture you want.
Place in covered container and place in fridge for at least an hour for flavors to mix.
Serving Size: 6-1/4 cup servings
