Ingredients
-
Can of Chick Peas
Can of Kidney Beans
Can of Black-Eyed Peas
Can of Pigeon Peas
2 Chilli Peppers
Dash of Salt & Black Pepper
Tablespoon of Oil
Medium Onion
5 Crushed Cloves Garlic
Tips
If you aren't much of a pepper eater use 1 chilli pepper or omit it all together if you can't stand heat because 2 chilli peppers will give this recipe a kick. I usually burst one chilli pepper to give the meal heat while cooking but ultimately it is your choice.
Directions
0. Be sure to drain all juices out of canned beans/peas before proceeding.
1. Heat the oil in a skillet on medium heat until hot.
2. Throw in chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves and saute until translucent, which is about 3-5 minutes. Note: Constantly continue stirring so that the onions and garlic don't burn.
3. Then throw in your drained mixed beans along with the 2 chilli peppers. Be sure to give the mixture a good stir so that all the ingredients combine.
4. Cover, and stir every 3-5 minutes in between so that the beans don't stick to the bottom of your cooking pan/pot. It should take only 15-20 minutes to fully cook but the finish product should be soft. The beans shouldn't be hard at all.
Serving Size: Makes between 6-7 cup servings
