An everyday kibbutz salad. An everyday kibbutz salad.
Number of Servings: 4

    2 large ripe red tomatoes
    2 large cucumbers
    1 small onion
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1/2 lemon
    salt and pepper to taste

This is also the salad which is put into pita with falafel.
I like to add ground hyssop (similar in flavor to oregano).
When eatten as a side dish, some Israelis like to add seeds such as sesame, sunflower and pumkin (pepitas)

Chop all vegetables into small pieces. Add the olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper and mix.

Serving Size: 4 1/2 cup servings

Number of Servings: 4
