Israeli kibbutz salad
IntroductionAn everyday kibbutz salad. An everyday kibbutz salad.
2 large ripe red tomatoes
2 large cucumbers
1 small onion
1 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
This is also the salad which is put into pita with falafel.
I like to add ground hyssop (similar in flavor to oregano).
When eatten as a side dish, some Israelis like to add seeds such as sesame, sunflower and pumkin (pepitas)
