Ingredients
-
One 7-pound Smithfield smoked ham
2 c fresh OJ
1 stick butter
1 c Splenda Blend
1 tsp salt
2 T cornstarch
Tips
I was making candied citrus rind, and used the boiling water in the ham (it was great!).
If you used plain water to simmer the ham, save the pot liquor to boil potatoes or whatever else you plan to serve along with the meat.
You can add carrots or other veggies in the baking pan when you put the ham in the oven.
I didn't reduce my glaze enough and it came out more of a sauce. This was fine, as it infused the ham while it was cooking. I uncovered it the last 10-15 minutes and basted regularly until done.

Directions
Rinse ham and place in large pot with just enough water to (almost) cover. Cover pot and simmer ham for 30-45 minutes.
Make glaze:
combine all other ingredients in a saucepot and bring to a boil. Immediately turn down to simmer and reduce liquid to glaze consistency.
Put ham face-down in a baking pan. Pour glaze over. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes.
Rest and carve.
