Introduction

Based on French Canadian pea soup. Based on French Canadian pea soup.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups yellow split peas
    2 serving bayleaf
    2 cubes Vegetable Bouillon, McCormick
    8 cups hot water
    2 cups cold water

Directions

Dissolve the bouillon in the hot water in a large slow cooker, stirring. Add peas and bayleaves. Stir. Cook on high for 6 hours, stirring occasionally. Turn off, add cold water and stir. Remove bayleaves. Serve immediately or allow to cool, put into boxes and freeze.

Serving Size: Makes 12 servings of about 1 cup.
