    1 pound carrots
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    2 teaspoons maple syrup


Peel and slice your carrots. Put in a pot and steam with the lid off. Once carrots are almost done remove from pan and empty water.

Stir together stock, maple syrup and basil. Add to now empty pan and reduce reduce the sauce. Once sauce has reduced to half add back the carrots and reduce heat to low. Stir frequently so they get a little brown around the edges, but donít allow them to burn.

When the carrots have caramelized, turn off the heat and serve.
