    1 c Bob's Red Mill 5 grain cooked cereal (or oatmeal)
    1 c flour
    ½ t baking soda
    ½ c oil (or 1/4c oil + 1/4c apple sauce)
    ½ c brown sugar
    1 c filmjölk or buttermilk (1.25 if using 5 grain cereal)
    ½ t salt
    1 ½ t baking powder
    1 egg


Soak oats in buttermilk for 30 min. Grease muffin tins and fill 2/3 full. Bake 350 25 min.

Note: you can replace the rolled oats with Bob's Red Mill 5 grain cooked cereal soaked overnight in 1 1/4 cup buttermilk.

Survival Muffins: add ½ c raisins and ½ c walnuts.
