    5-Spice Chicken Noodle Soup

    Ingredients:2 1/2 cups water
    1 1/4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
    1/4 cup thinly bias-sliced green onion
    2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
    1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
    2 cups chopped bokchoy
    1 medium sweet red pepper, cut into thin bite-size strips
    2 ounces somen, broken into 2-inch lengths, or2 ounces dried fine noodles
    1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken breast


Instructions:1. Combine water, chicken broth, green onion, soy sauce, garlic, five-spice powder, and ginger in a large saucepan.
2. Bring to boiling, and then stir in bok choy, sweet pepper strips, and somen.
3. Return to boiling, and then reduce heat.
4. Boil gently for 4 to 5 minutes or until noodles are just tender, and then stir in cooked chicken.
5. Heat through, and serve immediately.
Great flavoring in this soup!
