Ingredients

    1 ½ lbs. Ground Beef
    2/3 cup saltine cracker crumbs
    1/3 cup minced onion
    1 egg
    1 ½ tsp. salt
    ¼ tsp. Ginger
    ¼ cup milk
    1 tbsp. Shortening
    2 tbsp. Cornstarch
    ½ cup Brown Sugar (Packed)
    1 can pineapple tidbits (13 oz), drained (save syrup)
    1/3 cup vinegar
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1/3 cup chopped green pepper

Directions

Mix beef, cracker crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger and milk. Roll meat into balls. Melt shortening in skillet. Brown and cook meatballs. Take them out of the skillet. Pour fat from skillet.
Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir in pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. Pour this into the skillet. Cook on medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Add meatballs, pineapple tidbits and green pepper; heat through. Serve with white rice.
** If you like a lot of sauce double the ingredients for the sauce**
