Wash the red lentils and put them in a pressure cooker. Add a medium sized potato, carrot and an onion divided into 4-5 pieces (you don't need to chop them into small pieces). Add water and salt. The water should be about an inch above the vegetables.
Close the pressure cooker and after it starts boiling, let it simmer at low heat for about 10 mins.
Then take it off the heat and blend it with a hand blender. If it is too thick, add some more water.
When you are serving it, you may pour some lemon juice on top of it and season it with oregano, black pepper and/or chili pepper.
    * The soup originally contains a tbsp of olive oil, which makes it tastier.
    * If you like, you may add other vegetables such as broccoli, paprika, celery stalks and leaves. They make it more nutritious and tasty. I also add a tsp of vegetable stock and/or garlic powder.
    * If you are using a saucepan you can put and cook everything at the same time for about 30-40 mins until all is cooked.
