    1 lb Italian Sausage
    1 lb penne
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 28oz can tomatoes, crushed
    1 tsp olive oil
    2 tsp basil
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp parsley
    pepper to taste


Cooking time is approximate.


Cook sausage in skillet over medium heat until no longer pink in the middle, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and cut into thin slices. In a pot over medium heat, add oil and cook onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, tomatoes, basil, oregano, parsley; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add sausage. You can let the mixture simmer for an hour or more, stirring occasionally. Cook the penne as per the box instructions. When ready, drain and add to sauce.
