Introduction

Ok, so it uses a commercial sauce and spice base, and the sodium level isn't exactly low, but this is a great recipe for when you want something simple and quick which will look and taste great. It's even better when served with the side dish suggested under 'Tips', which I adapted from one of Jamie Oliver's 15 minute meal side dishes. Ingredients

    Aldi 'silks' jalfrezi sauce, I jar
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia), chopped
    Carrots, raw, 2 medium, chopped
    Meat - oyster blade steak, 350 gram(s) sliced
    Snow Peas, fresh, 2 cup, topped and tailed

Tips

Great served with a side of brown rice to which has been added a bag of pre-washed baby spinach leaves and a diced celeriac which has been allowed to brown in a small amount of oil. (These are not included in the nutritional info.)


Directions

1. Stir fry meat in a non-stick wok till browned, remove from pan, stir fry vegetables until brightly coloured.
2. Return meat to wok, then add contents of the lid, stirring quickly to ensure even distribution. Allow to cook till fragrant.
3. Add sauce from jar, stirring to combine, then heat thoroughly.

Serving Size: Makes 4 satisfying servings.
