Protein Bars using Visalus Nutritional Shake Mix Protein Bars using Visalus Nutritional Shake Mix

    1 cup oatmeal
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1/3 cup honey
    2 scoops visalus nutitional shake mix
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 tbsp. cocoa powder


This particular recipe is configured for using unsweetened cocoa powder, but you can substitute for chocolate chips as well as adding nuts of your choice.


Melt peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract in the microwave until smooth. Add visalus nutritional shake mix (2 rounded scoops) and mix very well (using a whisk works well as long as you do this very fast as soon as the mixture is smooth and still warm). Add in cocoa powder or chocolate chips, then add in oatmeal. Stir very well, making sure that all ingredients are completely mixed in. Layout in a small baking dish with parchment paper on the bottom. Smooth out until flat. Place in fridge or freezer until hard, and cut into six bars. Serves 6, about 250 calories.
