Number of Servings: 8


    1 lb ground turkey
    1/2 cup white minute rice
    1 small onion, diced
    1/2 cup applesauce
    1 cup tomato sauce -or- mixture of 1/2 cup ketchup and 1/2 cup water
    Mrs. Dash or other seasonings to taste
    *nutrition info calculated using 85/15 ground turkey...calories and fat will be lower with 93/7


In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, rice, diced onion, and applesauce until well blended. Season to taste with Mrs. Dash or other salt-free seasoning. Roll into 8 balls, then place the balls in a 13x9 casserole dish. Pour the tomato sauce or water and ketchup mixture over the top of the balls. Bake at 425 for 45 minutes or until turkey is done.
