    16 cups shred cabbage (2 heads)
    2 tsp salt
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups cider vinegar
    2 tsp celery seed
    2 tsp mustard seed
    1 cup red pepper chopped
    2 cups shred carrots


Toss cabbage with salt, let sit 1 hour. Combine sugar, water, vinegar, celery & mustard seed in large saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Drain cabbage. Add dressing mixture. Toss to coat. Cool. Put on freezer containers. Keeps froze for 3 months. To serve, thaw overnight in fridge. Stir.
