    1 tbsp Olive Oil
    I medium onion, chopped
    1 clove of garlic, crushed
    1 tin (400g) chopped tinned tomatoes
    1 tsp balsamic vinegar
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tbsp dried basil.
    1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes.


Heat the oil in a saucepan and cook the onion and garlic until softened. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 45 minutes on low until thickened. Season to taste. This sauce can be served chunky or blended to a fine sauce.
