A simple mushroom gravy. A simple mushroom gravy.
Number of Servings: 6


    2 cups sliced mushrooms
    1 cup finely sliced onion
    1 tablespoon flour *approximately
    1 pinch salt
    1 pinch fresh ground pepper
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    2 teaspoon dry dill weed
    1 tbsp butter
    1 tbsp olive oil
    about 2 cups water


Add more or less water, depending on how thick you like your gravy.


1) Melt butter in the olive oil. Add the sliced onion and mushrooms. Fry them until they get soft. Add the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Let simmer for a minute.
2) Stir in the flour. When evenly mixed, gradually add the water, while stirring. Adjust water as needed. Let bubble for a few minutes.
3) Add the dill. Let simmer for a few minutes, then serve hot with your favourite potato dish, bread, or meat dish.

This serves 6 people.
