    1 1/2 12 oz angel food cakes
    3 inch chopped and peeled ginger root
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup water
    1 box instant fat and sugar free pudding
    8 oz fat free sour cream
    8 oz fat free cream cheese
    1 12 oz containers fat free whipped topping
    3 pints blackberries


Peel and chop ginger root. dissolve 1/2 cup sugar in water, boil, with ginger root, then steep for 30-60 minutes.

Slice 1 1/2 angel food cakes into 1 inch slices, brush both sides with ginger syrup, then cube.

Beat pudding mix with 2 cups milk, set aside to thicken. Blend in cream cheese and sour cream.

Layer 1/3 cake cubes on bottom of trifle bowl, top with 1/3 pudding mixture, then 1 pint berries, then 1 container whipped topped. Repeat layers. Finish with final 1/3 of cake, pudding, then berries. Chill several hours.
