    1 kg chicken breast, cut into strips or cubed (6 breasts)
    4 tbsp butter
    1 onion
    3 cloves garlic
    1 tbsp curry powder
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp paprika
    dash cayenne
    1/2 c chicken broth
    2 pears, thickly sliced
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    1/4 c each dried cranberries and currants
    salt & pepper


Place the chicken in a large crockpot. Melt the butter, then saute the onions and garlic. Add the spices and cook until fragrant. Whisk the cornstarch into the chicken broth, then add to the spice mix. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour this all over the chicken. Sprinkle on the dried fruits and walnuts, then top with the sliced pears. Serve with rice.

Serving Size: 6 servings of one breast each + sauce
