Introduction

Dice 1/4 apple and 2 tablespoons of hazelnuts, (aka filberts) per serving. Add Quinoa flakes, water, and cut apple and nuts, 1 teaspoon of natural peanut butter and 1 teaspoon simply fruit apricot jelly. Cook as per instructions on box, (microwave 2-2.5 minutes for 1 serving). Add sliced fresh strawberries, (or other fruit), and serve. Ingredients

    1/3 cup Quinoa Flakes
    1 cup water
    1/4 apple, with skin, diced
    1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
    2 tablespoons of chopped hazelnuts (filberts)
    1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter
    1 teaspoon of simply fruit apricot spread

    Cook the above ingredients as indicated on cereal box, (2.5 minutes per serving in microwave). Stir mixture. Top with fresh fruit of your choice. I like it with sliced fresh strawberries.

Tips

I wanted to eat more quinoa but did not like the taste of the cereal with just fresh fruit. When I added additional ingredients, it became delicious.


Directions

After cutting up apple and hazelnuts, combine with all other ingredients and cook in microwave for 2-2.5 minutes. Serve with sliced strawberries or other fruit.

Serving Size: One serving. Increase all according to serving needs.
