    2 pkgs. yeast
    1 stick margarine
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 cups warm water
    1 large egg
    4 1/2 cups wheat flour (divided)
    1 1/2 cups white flour (more or less)
    2 T. flax seed
    2 Tbsp. wheat germ


Put the yeast, margarine, brown sugar, salt and 2 1/2 cups wheat flour in bowl. Gradually add 2 cups of hot water. Add 1 large egg and beat for 2 minutes. Add 3/4 cup whole wheat flour and keep beating. That add about 1 cup whole wheat flour, flax seeds and wheat germ and keep beating. Then add enough white flour to make moist dough. (about 1 1/2 cups) Use white flour on the board when you knead and knead about 5-8 minutes. Let dough rise in greased bowl until double, punch down and let rise again. Shape into loaves and let rise again. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Yum!
