This is a VERY HEALTHY juice. Check out the nutritional information. You must use a juicer for this recipe. If your juicer can juice whole fruits, even better. Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 whole fresh pineapple
    5 whole fresh lemons
    4 inches fresh ginger root
    granulated sugar
    1/4 cup fresh basil (Optional)

Directions

Peel pineapple and cut in chunks to fit into juicer. Wash lemons, do not peel them.
Cut off 1 quarter inch from ends of lemons.
Cut lemons into quarters and then cut the quarters into thirds.
Peel ginger and chop.
Chop Basil leaves (optional).
Make juice of ingredients using a juicer. Do not strain the resulting juice. This is your concentrate.
Pour juice into a one gallon container.
Add water to fill. Leave room for sugar.
Add sugar.
Chill.
Enjoy.

Serving Size: Makes 16 1 cup servings(one gallon)
