Number of Servings: 3
Ingredients
-
1 tbs olive oil
3 cups Brussels sprouts, quartered
1/3 cup mirin
½ tsp red chili flakes
¼ tsp Kosher or sea salt
Tips
Watch your pot! The brussel sprouts will go from "nicely caramelized" to "extra scorched" very quickly. Adding the mirin and stirring will mitigate some of this, but do be mindful of how "caramelized" your 'sprouts are getting.
Directions
Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, add Brussels sprouts and cook until Brussels sprouts start to brown.
Add Mirin and cook, stirring occasionally, until mirin has reduced and thickened and the sprouts are fork tender.
Sprinkle with chili flakes and salt, stir to combine.
