Helen's Bread Pudding
12 oz. French Bread
12 oz. evaporated milk
12 oz. water
16 oz. milk
2 tsps. vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
2 oz. butter
Raisins or other fruits or nuts can be added. But this changes the nutritional information.
Can also be topped with whipped topping or meringue; again this will change the nutritional information. (the extras can be added to your tracker.)
In 9" x 13" pan, add softened butter and sugar; blend well. Add eggs and mix well. Add vanilla, milk, evaporated milk, and water; mix well. Add bread and push into liquid to soak. Bake about 45 to 60 minutes or until brown on top and knife inserted in middle, comes out clean.
