Introduction

We used to eat a lot of Chicken Helper, but it's really unhealthy, so I worked with different recipes to create this. We used to eat a lot of Chicken Helper, but it's really unhealthy, so I worked with different recipes to create this.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 cups dry whole wheat pasta (elbow macaroni or shells)
    12.5 oz can of Tyson White Meat Chicken Breast
    2 cups low fat sharp cheddar cheese
    1 cup skim milk
    2 tbsp flour
    1 TBSP I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light
    1.5 cups frozen peas
    Salt, Pepper and Cayanne Pepper to taste

Directions

Cook pasta as directed. When pasta is ALMOST cooked add frozen peas to water. Cook another 1-2 minutes. Drain.

In large pan melt butter. Add flour and spices cook on low for 1-2 minutes. Add milk and stir constantly until thickened. Add cheese and stir until completely melted.

Add Chicken, Pasta and Peas to Cheese sauce. Stir well and serve.

Makes 8 - 1 cup servings. Although, I always have a hard time eating just one serving!!
