    1lb Beef Short Ribs (typically 4 ribs)
    1 package Baby Carrots (already peeled)
    1 Onion
    10-16 Small Potatoes
    1 clove Garlic
    Salt and Pepper to taste

    1 cup Ketchup
    1 tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar
    1 tbsp. Water
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
    1 tbsp. Cayenne
    1 tsp. Chili Powder
    1 tsp. Garlic Powder


I do the small baby gold potatoes. I just wash the potatoes (i.e. do not peel).
Any type of onion can be used. My preference is white or yellow.
Bones are great for stocks or treat for puppy.


Heat skillet to medium-high heat.
Salt and pepper beef short ribs. Brown the short ribs in the heated skilled (roughly 1min per side). Turning periodically to get at least 2 sides browned.

Cut the onion in wedges. Cut carrots and potatoes to desired size (if not already the desired size).
Put onion wedges, carrots, and potatoes in crock pot/slow cooker.

Move short ribs from skillet to crock pot on top of vegetables.

In bowl, mix the sauce ingredients together (ketchup, vinegar, water, etc.). Pour over short ribs.

Cook for 4hours on high or 8hours on low settings.
Ribs are ready when bones are sliding out of meat.
